Letter from our Chairperson

Greetings, in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

"SEEK GOD FOR DIRECTION"

The beginning of each New Year brings with it a renewed since of starting afresh.  We face 2010 with the knowledge shortcomings, disappointments, mistakes or failures are now in the annals of history.  Hope is reborn; it is

time to refocus and seek God for direction for each new day.  With Him, each day can be filled to overflowing with joy that will spill into the lives of others. The rewards of seeking God can never be understated.  If you seek Him with all your heart, He will renew your strength and make clear your path.

God has proven Himself as a faithful and loving Father.  The fact that we are still here means that He has given each of us space, time and grace to do what He has assigned our hands to do at this point in time.  New challenges are on the horizon.  The way that we respond to our challenges has everything to do with our outlook on life and with our faith in God.  Each challenge that we face this year will provide an opportunity for growth in ministry.

While some of our days are filled with excitement, most are not. Some days are more difficult to face and endure than others.  However, trusting God is the key to enjoying both the ordinary days and the challenging days of our lives.  Oftentimes we make mistakes as we face our challenges.  Jesus takes our mistakes and turns them into miracles.  There is nothing too hard for God; He is faithful to rescue and restore His own. As children of God, we do not have to hold onto mistakes or hurts of the past.  Remember, in God, there is a place of forgiveness and a place of new beginnings.

Let God be your anchor this year.  In the midst of changing circumstances, spend time with Him.  Stay focused; remain steadfast.  Determine to follow wherever He leads you.  It is the prayer of the staff of the IDCMWA that each of you will be blessed during the year of 2010.  May you ever prosper in the Lord!
