Message from IDCYPU Chairman

June 2011

Praise the Lord!
What a mighty God we serve. Angels bow before Him, heaven and earth adore Him. God is great and greatly to be praised. Welcome to the IDCYPU webpage. It is my prayer that you have been enjoying our programs and that you are growing stronger in the Lord.
The months of June and July include Pentecost Sunday, State Convention, and July Council. The inspiration and evangelistic thrust of Pentecost

Sunday will overflow into State Convention on June 23-25, much to the joy of my staff, volunteers, and our pastors. This year’s Powerful People Celebration includes new and interactive programming; Praise-A-Palooza, our festival of praise, and the Empowerment Fair, where our youth will be educated and inspired to make good choices. I am certain that the glory of the Lord will dwell among us and that the anointed preaching of Pastor Jermone Glenn will open the flood gates to a flow of the spirit of Christ that we have never seen. On Saturday, we will enjoy a fun-filled night at Dave & Buster’s for the Powerful People Party.
We have canvassed the grounds near the host church, One Way Family Worship, compelling families to come to the Lord and to join us.  The Evangelism Team and I are very enthusiastic about soul-winning. Not even rain could stop us. We believe God for a great harvest of souls over the next few years and we are committed to the work.
We are Powerful People. The bible tells us of the exploits that we will do in the name Jesus. Now that the Holy Ghost has come upon us, we are ready do great things. Now is our time. It is time to do greater works.
Here’s a good question. If a passage or chapter in the bible was written about your life, what could we read about you? If you were featured in a reality show, what would we see? Would we bear witness of you working miracles according to the will of God, laying hands on the sick, casting out demons, preaching the name of Jesus and speaking to word of reconciliation?
I believe the IDCYPU – The Holy Nation, has many young people that have risen to the call, living a Christ centered – sacrificial life, walking in the power of God with great joy.
I am encouraged and I want to encourage you to continue to fight the good fight of faith wearing the full armor of God. I want to encourage youth leaders to stay on the wall and don’t come down. In your journey, you may feel alone but God is with you and those that you lead are in need of you. You have a great responsibility but an even greater God.
I want to encourage our singers, dancers, and others that are anointed for non-traditional and cutting edge ministry. Be bold and let the Lord use you. If you haven’t noticed, the mold has been broken. The time for the new is now. Spend time in the presence of Lord and have your gifts refined.
In July Council, we will join together in evangelistic work, enjoy testimonies  and good dialogue during the “Real Talk” – Talk Show, and evangelistic preaching by Pastor Candace Rivers.
Over the next few months, I want you to pray with me more than before. Over the next few months, I want your commitment to increase. Youth leaders, make a greater effort to get your people in the place.  The glory that is coming to too great and I don’t want you to miss a moment that can change your life.
One more thing, remember that any one that is in Christ is a new creature; old things are passed away and behold all things become new. There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ. Were sin abounds, grace doth much more abound.  Sometimes, you may see the ugliness of yourself. Just remember that Jesus sees his own blood that he shed for your sins. At times, it is difficult to see yourself as one called on God to an awesome purpose. It does not yet appear what we shall be but when he shall appear, we shall be like him and we shall see him as he is. Be encouraged and walk in the power of his might.
For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth. (Deuteronomy 14:2)
Yours in Christ,
Minister Timothy R Jackson
