Message from IDCYPU Chairman

Praise the Lord Everybody!
I am sending you this message to share my excitement with you concerning the blessing of the Lord upon the Illinois District Council. I salute our Diocesan, Bishop Davis, District Elder Kay, and Dr. Bembry for their leadership in bringing about a wonderful conference in April, and an explosive Pentecost Sunday. I am encouraged and I look forward to greater things in the time to come.

Now, I would like to update you on a upcoming events. Mark your calendars, June 18-19, 2010. The Young People’s State Convention in just days away. "Chosen to Change the World". We are expecting an outstanding time at the Indiana Avenue Pentecostal Church of God, located at 3520 S. Indiana in Chicago, IL. Special workshops are designed to develop performing arts ministries to provide career coaching, and to anoint local youth presidents and their staffs for greater administration. We are honored to have the President of the International Young People’s Union (IPYPU), Elder Chris Collier for dynamic preaching and teaching. On Saturday, we will have a Fun Fest with outdoor games and activities for all ages. State Convention will feature non-traditional workshops, an outside the box worship experience, powerful preaching, food and fun.

God has laid it upon my heart to excite evangelistic work and to promote district fellowships. The inspiration of the Holy Ghost encourages me to launch Transformation Nation Crusades. If we live holy lives, unto the Lord, choosing not to conform to this world we will be transformed and become catalyst of change in the world. I believe that God will raise up a nation of young men and woman that are excited about soul winning strengthening the body of Christ, and enjoy Christian fun.

The Transformation Nation is the body of believers that are active participants in:

Evangelistic training and service
Sincere worship and radical praise
Social events

The crusades will span across the State of Illinois over the next few years. Each location is the Transformation Station. Our upcoming crusades are in Peoria on Friday and Saturday. July 30-31, 2010. In October, we will continue in Evanston.
