Grace and peace to you. Thank you for visiting our site.
We are excited about the move of God that challenges us to grow in our spiritual walk and to touch the world with the gospel. Our theme and goal is to have EACH ONE REACH ONE.
In the IDC, we are exploring the principles of outreach, investigating concepts of witnessing, testing these for use by individuals, by small groups, and by congregations. Through understanding and interaction, and with a measure of creativity, we will inform, educate, and motivate our members to fulfill the mission God has given to His Church.
Are you aware that heart disease is the leading killer of men and women in the United States, and according to the American Heart Association, heart or cardiovascular disease accounts for about 1 in every 5 deaths in the U.S.? Heart disease and the mortality and disabilities that result from it are preventable. 1
Further, I believe that exploring what the Bible says regarding the heart offers us opportunities to know the mind of Christ. On Thursday afternoons for the next four sessions we will teach and encourage the saints to improve both their natural and spiritual health by focusing on the heart.
Topics will include “The Importance of the Heart” and how to keep it healthy; steps we should take in diet, exercise, rest, etc., to facilitate heart health; and “If the heart is right, so are you!” The focus will be on the importance of spiritual heart health.
There are also other changes taking place in the IDC. Bishop Arthur M. Brazier has retired from pastoring and has stepped down as Diocesan. "Bishop Charles E. Davis, pastor of the Indiana Avenue Pentecostal Church of God, was installed as Diocesan at the July 2008 session. Join us for prayer from 9:00 AM to noon each Tuesday before the opening on the quarterly sessions at the Indiana Avenue Pentecostal Church of God, 3520 S. Indiana Avenue, Chicago."
In Bible Study, we will be taking “Steps to a New Beginning,” learning what God would have the IDC, individuals, and churches do to move forward. In this time of new beginnings, we pray with the apostle Paul that our whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of the Lord.
Join us in each service. Pray for our success.
